Matured completely in first fill Sherry seasoned casks, the Whisky Makers Cut is also bottled at a higher strength than the other core range bottlings. From the Soleo collection, which takes it’s name from the process of drying grapes in the sun, as was used in the production of certain sherry grapes such as Pedro Ximenez.
Textured aromas of candied orange peel, spicy oak and vanilla pod. The palate is rich and creamy with more orange and vanilla coming through. There;s a hint of apricot, sultanas and cinnamon too. The finish is medium long with more of that consistent fruit and some drying oaky and nutmeg spice. Slightly warming on the finish too.
